He practiced traditional family practice medicine in Los Angeles, California for ten years and now practices urgent care medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He has been a diligent student of the Bible since he was born again at age twelve. While he was in high school, he felt God's call to be a physician. He graduated in 1983 from the UCLA School of Medicine and spent his three-year family practice internship and residency in Bakersfield, California at Kern Medical Center. As Dr. Fleischer has practiced medicine, he has also continued his study of the Scriptures. He has read the entire Bible repeatedly, concentrating on passages that deal with healing, and through systematic study, has identified every Scripture related to this topic. He and his wife, Linda, and their six children, are also involved in East Africa doing medical mission work.
