Nací en 1979 en un pequeño pueblo a las afueras de Seúl, Corea del Sur. Tengo una personalidad introvertida y pasé mucho tiempo solo en casa cuando era niño. Por aquel entonces, no había muchos medios culturales en Corea a través de los que poder disfrutar de la cultura extranjera. Para la mayoría de las familias coreanas, las películas extranjeras que ponían en televisión los fines de semana eran uno de los mayores entretenimientos, así que siempre disfruté mucho de esos momentos. Me encantaban las películas de los grandes maestros, como Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, James Cameron o Ridley Scott, y siempre dibujaba escenas de dichas películas durante su emisión . Las influencias adquiridas entonces me ayudaron mucho más tarde como profesional. Cuando tenía 12 años, mi padre me compró una consola japonesa de 8 bits, y soñaba con llegar a hacer, algún día, un juego basado en una película. A los 18 años, el negocio de mis padres no iba bien, así que no pude asistir a las clases de educación artística profesional. A partir de entonces, estuve trabajando en varios empleos a tiempo parcial durante el día para ganarme la vida, mientras que por la noche estudiaba arte de manera autodidacta. En el año 2004, a los 26 años, conseguí un trabajo en una empresa de desarrollo de videojuegos para PC online como artista a cargo del arte conceptual. Allí inicié las prácticas y participé en el desarrollo de numerosos juegos con diversas empresas. Finalmente, después de ejercer como director de arte en Netmarbleuna gran empresa de desarrollo de juegos de Corea en 2017 abandoné la empresa para trabajar como ilustrador autónomo profesional. Actualmente, estoy haciendo varias figuras basadas en mis ilustraciones y trabajo activamente en películas, cómics, novelas y juegos.
